Welcome
Welcome to the Sports Card Market Report!
The Sports Card Market Report is a newsletter that helps collectors and investors navigate the sports card market and shows them how to buy and sell their cards.
On these pages, you’ll also find tools and methods for analyzing pricing trends and looking for market gaps, FAQs, eBooks, templates, and other hobby goodies from us, Wax Pack Gods.
You may also know us from Twitter or YouTube, or from our long-running hobby blog at WaxPackGods.com, where we feature stories ranging from card values to ballpark nostalgia.
About Wax Pack Gods
I have been a baseball fan and baseball card collector for 40 years, through hobby booms and busts, trends and scandals, from the 1980s through the market explosion in the 2020s.
Mostly, I’m still a collector and fan, but I am also fascinated by the business side of the hobby and the huge amounts of money being spent on those little swaths of cardboard that have sparked my imagination for so long.
So …
In my writings, you’ll find a mix of hardcore number-crunching, hobby nostalgia, and reasoned guesses about what might be coming next.
In addition to the Sports Card Market Report, you can find our material in these places:
Wax Pack Gods weekly newsletter (more fun/nostalgia than business/money)
Baseball Card Daily newsletter (actually, three times a week)
We’re always publishing more content through these outlets, so check them all to make sure you’re getting your fill of hobby talk!
Sports Card Market Report Content
The Sports Card Market Report began life as a weekly newsletter during the pandemic as a way to 1) provide an up-to-date look into the exploding baseball card market and 2) share a bit of light-hearted banter with fellow collectors during trying times for us all.
That mission continues, as will the free weekly Baseball Card Market Report, but with some additions.
This table of contents is the go-to guide for keeping track of all the material available for all readers — first-time visitors to the newsletter, free sign-ups, or paid subscribers looking for links to our premium content.
The first section contains links to content available for all readers on the free sign-up plan. Free signs-ups are readers who sign up for the email list, but don’t actually subscribe to the paid newsletter.
The second section contains links to exclusive content available to only paid subscribers. Paid subscribers are readers who have paid either an annual or monthly subscription fee (or have been gifted or “comped” a subscription).
