Last month in this space, we saw Victor Wembanyama slide back a bit at the top of the market as the NBA playoffs raged on without him. At the same time, some postseason stars saw a bump in activity around their cards.

Chief among them were the Mavericks’ Luka Doncic and the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.

Since then, Boston took down Dallas in four games in the NBA Finals to win another title, and then June wrapped up with the NBA Draft. An unusual feature of this year’s draft is that it caused a lot of stir around a current superstar player — LeBron James.
