The Mavericks and Warriors have gotten off to sort of blah starts to the 2022-23 NBA season, but their stars have been just fine, thank you very much.

As I write this post, on November 1, 2022, Luka Doncic leads the league with a gaudy 36.7 points per game, and Stephen Curry is tied for seventh at an even 31.0 ppg.

Down a bit further at number 16, LeBron James checks in at a not-too-shabby 25.8 ppg.

Of course, scoring is just one (very important) part of the game, but it’s probably the most visible — and it also drives the basketball card market to a fairly significant degree.
