Last month, we saw that the top of the basketball card market played out just about like we would have expected in July — Michael Jordan and Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama at the top, followed by a predictable cast of supporting players near the top of our “standings.”

In July (the August version of this newsletter), there was still also a bit of leftover playoff love on our list. So, would the second full month of the basketball summer, with little in the way of NBA news but plenty of Olympics news, do anything to change the cardboard pecking order?
