Last month, we saw 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy squeak past Tom Brady at the top of our “standings” of high-priced football cards sold on eBay during December of 2023.

Not only that, but Patrick Mahomes pulled even with Tom Terrific. And, with both young guns leading their teams into the playoffs, there was sure to be plenty of interest in their cards during January.

So did that theory hold? And did Mahomes and Purdy hold their own against Brady in the hobby market?
