Last month, we saw Patrick Mahomes take the top spot from Tom Brady when it came to the most appearances on our monthly list of the most expensive football cards sold on eBay.

With “real” games underway and Tom Terrific mostly out of the limelight in his first year of retirement, today’s stars took center stage.

Heck, Josh Allen surged ahead of Brady, too.

Well, except for a couple of other “oldies” who sneaked into the picture — Peyton Manning and Randy Moss both showed up a couple of times in our “standings.”

So what would October bring to the market as the season roared on and teams — and players — started to really establish their pecking orders?

Would Manning and/or Moss stick around or be pushed out by the young bucks? Or would other names from the past make their presence felt?

Well, here are the players who show up more than once among the most expensive football cards sold on eBay during October 2023 (full list at bottom of post):
