Last month in this space, we got a little breath of fresh air, as top November sales of raw baseball cards included a handful of nifty cards from the 20th century.

Even more than that, we saw some cards from waaayyyy back in the 1910s and 1920s.

So, could December turn that turnaround into a streak.

Well, before we get to the answers, let me throw out a quick Patriots-quarterback-shaped disclaimer.

If you’ve read any of the recent free weekly market reports here or watched the market on your own, you probably know that Topps’ experiment with Tom Brady “baseball cards” in the Bowman brand has sort of wreaked habit with eBay listings.

Those Brady cards are like cockroaches — they’re everywhere among the list of top-selling baseball cards, and you just can’t seem to kill them. Well, I did kill them for the list below, weeding out about 18 of them.

Those cards are not tough to find on eBay if you really want to see what they’re up to.

Anyway, with that little piece of bookkeeping out of the way, here’s the decade-by-decade breakdown of the most expensive raw baseball cards sold on eBay during December of 2023 (complete list at bottom of post):
