Last month, we saw a pretty clear pattern in the most expensive raw baseball cards sold on eBay during July of 2023.

In particular, there was a hole right where you might expect it — no cards from the 1980s or 1990s made the list.

Those two decades just happen to encompass the whole of the Junk Wax years. Hmmm.
