In this space last month, we were sort of loosely tracking how the “old-time” legends of the game were holding up in our unofficial card-sale standings after a big showing in November 2023.

In particular, names like Howe, Lemieux, and Orr were riding side-saddle with Wayne Gretzky among players with the most appearances among the list of top-selling hockey cards on eBay.

Howe and Orr kept at it in December, while Lemieux couldn’t hang onto his slot. So, what would the first month of the new year bring in this regard?
